CKAN is the de facto standard for publishing open data and is used by the big open data portals around the world: The EU data portal, UK Gov, US Gov, Barcelona, and Singapore are all using CKAN. CKAN is open source and free, avoiding lock-in situations with big ICT vendors. In this course we show you how to publish data from sources like MS Excel and CSV. Then we will look at how to use the built in visualisation tools to display the data.
