Another step of the way toward internationaliation has been made recently when Smarte Byer Norge / Smart Cities Norway has undersigned a cooperation agreement with the Hungarian-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce (HNCC).

Arendalsuka is an national annual event and has since 2012 been the largest political gathering in Norway. The event has a clear mission to strengthen the belief in political empowerment and democracy through an open debate and involvement. For 5 days, politicians, interest groups, businesses and startups filled the idyllic city of Arendal with an interesting and educational variety of exhibitions and events. Smart Cities Norway was there and hosted debates and inspiring lectures. Check out our events here

Exchange of experience between cities and municipalities, as well as across borders, is crucial if we are to develop smart, sustainable and livable cities. Earlier this week, we entered a cooperation agreement with our sister organization in Slovakia. Now, we are entering a partnership with the German-Norwegian Chamber of Commerce.
Connecting Smart Cities Norway to the rest of the world
The solutions to the challenges can be shared cross borders.
We belive in a open market and that solutions developed in other countries can be used in Norway. And that solutions developed in Norway can be used in other countries.

Two-thirds of global population will live in cities by 2050. It is a global challenge and a global opportunity. We all share the same Sustainable Development Goals and we belive that challenges that municipalities in Norway have are much the same as municipalities have in other countries.
